2024 marked the 200th anniversary of the premiere of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Vienna.

In February of that year, the children of the White Hands Chorus NIPPON brought a new version of the “Ode to Joy” to Vienna. Performed with a combination of voice and dramatic sign language, this new form of musical expression garnered world attention.

The program chronicles six months of the children’s challenging preparations for the performance.
