Episode Synopsis
Hokkaido, Agricultural Paradise NEXT is an edutainment program about farming. Hosts Hiroyuki Morisaki and Yuka Mori join children as they learn and experience agriculture firsthand.
This episode’s theme is to learn about the future of agriculture. Together with two kids, the hosts visit new facilities in Hokkaido. At Hokkaido University’s Smart Agriculture Education and Research Center, opened in summer 2023, they try advanced technology—remote-controlling a farm vehicle more than 1,200 km away, and also try operating an unmanned tractor in the university fields.
Next, they explore Kubota Agri Front in Kitahiroshima’s F Village, where robots and AI are used for farm management. The children even taste freshly harvested leaf lettuce from a factory, amazed by its flavor.
Join them as they see, touch, and taste the future of agriculture with all five senses.
