32nd JAMCO Online International Symposium
February 2020 - March 2020
Messages for an Increasingly Divided World
Closing Address
The 2023 JAMCO Online International Symposium, the 32nd in the series, heard reports and discussions by academics and other specialists on the theme, Messages for an Increasingly Divided World.
With divisive crises now raging around the world, from military conflicts in the Middle East to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, now in its third year, the reports and discussions highlighted such themes as the importance of cross-cultural understanding and multi-lingual operations in developing countries by clarifying both issues and possibilities for progress.
We also received valuable feedback from readers of the reports posted in both Japanese and English on the JAMCO website. I believe these opinions, too, have contributed much for future discussion.
We will make full use of the findings of this international symposium and depend as always on your continuing support for the Japan Media Communication Center’s activities.
